Change: by Leah Laing

By Leah Laing
Change
The winds that come and blow things away
Bring new things, yes, the wind does play.
But do I like it? No, no, no!
I wish I could tell it to go, go, go!
But faith in God holds down my voice
And with patience and love I sacrifice.
As I do so, I know that God is nice.
It is God that sends the wind and rain
And sometimes, sadly, even pain.
But we must always keep in our minds view
The way things will be when all is new.
This heart ache and pain does not last long
So be calm and sing a song.
Through the wet cold windy storm
A hug the Savior offers, bright and warm.
“Be strong, my well beloved,
Peace be with thee like a dove.”
Do not fear, He is always there

And you are in His watchful care.
